Roma Patel MD, Chief Ophthalmologist for the Sacramento VA and assistant professor at the University of CA Davis emphasizes that there are treatments for delaying the full impact of glaucoma but that the condition needs to be found early.  Glaucoma is a silent disease that presents no early warning signs but can be found in an eye exam.  Roma also talks about how rewarding her work is with the veterans and the special eye problems vets face having served in Viet Nam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
